I am SO EXCITED about the holidays this year! I don’t have any major plans or a busy schedule packed full of fun activities three months in advance. But the celebration of Jesus is such a blessing! My heart is healed and it overflows with anticipation. I can’t wait to see what He does this year. Thanksgiving is next Thursday and gratitude is already bursting out of me. I think about all that God has done for me and I could never thank Him enough.
My perspective is different this year than it has been in the past. I’m excited about the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, the wonderful food, the fellowship, and the new memories in the making. But I’m most excited about finding God in the little things. I’m hosting a spiritual thanksgiving treasure hunt. How many unique ways can you find gratitude in something for the first time?
I’m hungry for more of God! I want to see Him move in new ways. Exciting ways, fun ways, scary – out of my comfort zone ways, I want to spend extra time sitting quietly in His presence. I want to experience it all! I want to be so available that He can use my shadow to bring healing to others. I want to walk by people and the presence of God hit them so powerfully that they don’t even see me, they just walk away in awe of Him. I want to be a glory carrier! I want to love people. Just love them, no strings attached, because God loves them and we must show them His love for them. I want to be a hope giver! I want to see people get saved and lives be changed for the Kingdom of God. I’m so excited for the ones that will attend a Christmas play and hear the gospel for the first time ever! I think about the Elf play we will see on the 8th. It’s such a fun event that is going to change many lives.
I’m on a mission this Thanksgiving. I want to search out God in the little things. I don’t want to miss the treasure of what He is doing in what appears to be the mundane things. I’m so guilty of letting things get overlooked in the busy holiday season. I want to talk to Him as much as I talk about Him. I want to go on the ultimate treasure hunt and I invite you to go too! So, my prayer is that God will give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that is tender and receptive to Him. That we will recognize His hand in the little things and it will cause a new level of thanksgiving that we have never experienced before to overflow in us! ❤️
