The time change makes the days seem shorter and the nights longer which I love. But it also reminds me that the time left is even shorter in the spiritual. I’ve been studying the books of Revelation and Daniel lately, and my heart is really stirred to be focused on sharing God’s love with people during this short time that we have left. I find myself crying out to God for people’s salvation with a time sensitivity I haven’t felt until recently. It is getting real that He is saying there isn’t much time and when He returns to take His children home, there are going to be many people shocked that they have been left behind. I love Luke 21:28 because it says when these things BEGIN to take place…its time to look up!
Luke 21:28 says, “But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near!”
A simple scroll through Facebook is enough to see that we are living in the end of the end times and that the church, the bride of Christ, is not ready. It’s an exciting time to be alive! But my heart breaks for all of my family members and friends who aren’t saved. I find myself having to hand the burden to God again and again. It’s painful to think that they could be left , and knowing what the Bible says about the horrendous evil that will be allowed during the tribulation makes me long for them to be spared. We must pray, we must cry out on their behalf!! The prayer of a righteous man avails much so don’t stop praying! But what has really been on my heart lately is that we must pray for the sleeping church to wake up! We must pray for the people who attend church every Sunday and give their tithe, sing their worship songs and think they are doing everything they need to do. Yet, they do not know Jesus, they don’t have an intimate relationship with Him. They don’t talk with Him everyday, they don’t read their Bible to see what He is saying to them. They don’t have Him as King of their life. They have let Him in some areas, but have not surrendered and do not really know Him at all. Personally, I think Matthew 7:21-23 is one of the most serious warnings in the Bible.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
There are many people who have prayed the prayer of salvation and even been baptized because that is what they were told they needed to do, and they think they are saved. But a prayer without an encounter does not save you. Baptism does not save you. Jesus saves you! Sadly, they never had a personal life-changing encounter with Jesus! When you truly meet Jesus, the One who died for you, you cannot continue to live in sin and it not bother you. You cannot have a real relationship with Him and KNOW HIM and still be living like the world and think you are fine. People don’t want to hear that because it’s uncomfortable to think about but if we don’t tell them, who will?
Today is the day of Salvation! Stop playing games with God. Stop hoping you are okay and make the needed changes so that you can know that you know that you know that if the rapture happens in the next two minutes, you will not be left behind. If you have prayed the prayer of Salvation but didn’t change and start living for God, stop taking the risk of hearing “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” Pray it again and rededicate your life to Him! And mean it! Then ask Him to show you what you need to change to become a bride that is ready for His return.
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Acts 2:21 says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”. I am calling on You now, Jesus. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead. I confess Jesus as Lord of my life and I surrender everything to Him. I praise You that I am now a child of God! I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit to rise up within me and help me walk out this new life. In Jesus name, Amen
