Its been a busy day and I’m exhausted, but when I get a fresh wave of excitement about what God is doing it tries to burst out of me until I share it so just a quick post. I was talking to my daughter today about fire safety and what she should do if there is ever a fire in our home. We were almost home as the topic came up so we finished the conversation in the driveway. Midnight, the neighborhood cat, always jumps on my lap for a quick petting when I open my car door. As I sat there petting Him a spirit of fear started sending negative thoughts, looking for a way to get to me. Fear is not of God! I started to pray and as I was praying I heard myself say, “Lord, please send warring angels to this neighborhood and to my home and please send one with buckets of water to quench any fire the enemy would try to start in the spirit before it can ever manifest in the natural.” I’ve never prayed anything like that before, I’ve never even had a thought like that before. But when I finished praying I looked up toward the sky and in the spirit I could see a very tall angel standing just a few inches above my roof! It was so comforting, it was so tangible, I smiled at him, he smiled at me, and I started praising God for His faithfulness and goodness to me. He is such a good, good Father!!! I love Him so much!! My sleep tonight will be sweet knowing that there is a hedge of protection around me, warring angels guarding me, and nothing can happen that does not first pass through the hand of God.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the LORD : He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.
If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,
no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
